Essential tips for using hashtags on every social media platform out there:

Hashtags only really “work” (increase discoverability) when accounts are public and searchable. So if you’re using a hashtag to help grow your audience and increase growth, make sure your account is accessible to the masses.

‍Limit the number of hashtags you include in a post. More hashtags doesn't necessarily mean more views/impressions. You want to watch out for over use because hashtag overloads can look spammy and unprofessional. We recommend using 1-3 hashtags per post.

Here's how to use the Magic Caption Tool:

• Select a photo.

• Write your caption.

• Press tab to use the magic caption tool.

• Select a style or tone that suits your brand.

Using AI, UNUM's magic hashtag tool analyzes your photo or video and/or the initial caption you wrote and then it recommends unique #hashtags to use.

Here's how to use the Magic Hashtag:

1. Select a post you want to have hashtags.

2. The Post Detail toolbar will show up on the right side.

3. Click on the Caption field.

You can either leave the caption field blank and the Magic Hashtag tool will base it on the photo or you can add a few words as supplementary details for the Magic Hashtag tool.

4. Tap the "Magic Hashtags" and wait for the AI-generated hashtags.

Note: The resulting hashtags are already pre-selected. All of them will be included in your caption once you click "Add." If you see some hashtags that are not suited, you can click on them to be excluded.

Captions and Hashtag Bookmarking (this is only available in iOS mobile app but the resulting caption will still sync with the web app)

Tap the media grid >> tap the caption box below >> the bookmark logo will show up.

You add new group of hashtag which you can regularly access and use or choose from previously bookmarked hashtag groups.
