How to connect your Instagram to UNUM

Connecting your Instagram account to UNUM is a straightforward process. Follow the steps below to link your account and start using UNUM's features effectively.

• Navigate to the "+" Button:

  • Open the UNUM app.

  • Tap the "+" button located at the left of your screen.

• Select "Connect Instagram":

  • Choose the "Connect Instagram" option from the menu.

• Connect Your Account:

  • You can connect either your Instagram Business account or Personal Account.

  • Note: To use the auto-posting and insights feature, you must have an Instagram Business Account linked to a Facebook page. If you're unsure how to set this up, see the detailed instructions below.

How to Convert Your Personal Instagram Account to a Business Account

Many users struggle with converting their personal Instagram accounts to business accounts. Below are the detailed instructions and video tutorials to help you through this process.

Part 1: Preparing Your Instagram Account

1. Open your Instagram app.

2. Tap on the “More” (menu icon) located at the bottom left of the screen.

3. Tap on "Settings" (the gear icon) in the dropdown menu.

4. Scroll down to "Account Privacy." Ensure the toggle for "Private Account" is off.

5. Go back to "Settings," choose "Account type," and then tap on "Switch to Professional Account."

6. Select "Business" and follow the prompts to complete your business profile

Part 2: Connecting Your Facebook Page to Instagram

You can connect your Instagram account to your Facebook Page in two ways: using the Meta Business Suite or through Facebook Settings.

Way 1: Using Meta Business Suite

1. Open the "Meta Business Suite" app.

2. Click on the "Connect Instagram" button next to your Instagram avatar.

3. Click “Log into Instagram” on the window modal.

4. Follow the prompts to connect your Instagram Business account to a Facebook Page.

Way 2: In Facebook Settings

1. Go to Facebook and click on "Settings" in the top-right corner.

2. At the left side, click "Linked accounts."

3. Click "Connect Account" and then log into your Instagram account.

4. Follow the prompts to connect your Instagram Business account to a Facebook Page.

There are two ways you can integrate your Instagram account to UNUM mobile app.

A. On your Workspace

1. Tap Edit Channel on the header above.

1. Tap Link a social.

1. Tap Connect for Instagram.

Or you can scroll below your Workspace and tap Link your social.

B. On your Account Settings

1. Tap Home in the lower-left corner.

1. Tap your profile photo on the upper-right corner.

2. Scroll down and tap Social Channels.

3. Tap New social channel.

4. Tap Connect for Instagram.

• In order to use the auto-posting and insights feature, you should have an Instagram Business Account with a Facebook page linked to it in order to have access to the features of 3rd-party apps.
• It is actually a requirement by Meta (FB/IG) that their users should have an Instagram Business Account with a Facebook page linked to it in order to have access to the features of 3rd-party apps. If you currently don't have a Facebook page, one workaround suggested is to just create a dummy FB page and connect it to your IG Business account.
