Instagram has specific aspect ratio requirements for photos and videos to maintain an optimal viewing experience on the platform. Traditionally, Instagram allows three primary aspect ratios: 1:1 for square posts, 4:5 for vertical posts, and 1.91:1 for landscape posts. Although these ratios help ensure consistency and quality across posts, adjusting the aspect ratio of your images is important for ensuring they appear correctly in your feed. With the UNUM app, you can easily change the aspect ratio of your posts to fit Instagram’s requirements, whether you’re using the iOS app or the web version.
On iOS:
Go to Settings: In the upper-right corner of your page, tap on the "Settings" icon.
Scroll Down to "Grid Layouts": Once in the settings, scroll down to find "Grid Layouts".
Change the Layout: Scroll to the right to select the 4:5 aspect ratio, which is commonly used for Instagram posts.
On the Web App:
Select the Photo: In the web app, click on the photo you want to resize.
Click "Post Details": On the right side of the page, click the "Post Details" button.
Open Crop Tool: Click the four arrows icon to open a page where you can crop your photo or video.
Adjust According to Instagram's Aspect Ratio: Use the crop tool to adjust the photo/video to fit Instagram’s aspect ratio requirements (such as square, portrait, or landscape).
