🌀Feed Not Matching IG / Collab Posts / Reels Issues

If your UNUM feed isn’t perfectly aligned with your actual Instagram feed, or if you’re running into issues with Collab posts and Reels, you’re not alone. Here’s why it happens and what to do:

🔄 Why Doesn’t My Feed Match Instagram?

This is due to limitations with Instagram’s API (what third-party apps like UNUM use to sync with Instagram).

Some posts (like Reels-only, Stories, Collabs, or manually archived/deleted content) don’t always sync cleanly to your visual planner.

Things that don’t always sync:

  • Collab Posts where you aren’t the original author

  • Archived or deleted posts

What you can do:

  • Use our Reels tab to preview what’s scheduled or drafted separately

  • Expect minor sync delays (especially after tokens refresh)

🤝 Collab Posts Not Showing?

If you’re tagged as a Collaborator, but not the original poster, that post won’t always appear in your UNUM grid.

Instagram’s API prioritizes showing content posted by the original account. We’re actively exploring better visibility here.

🎬 Reels Cover Not What I Wanted

  • You didn’t select Reels tab before scheduling

  • Reel was scheduled without a cover image

  • Reel was scheduled to publish to Reels only and not your Feed

Fixes:

  1. Always preview your Reel in the Reels tab inside the post editor

  2. Choose a cover before scheduling

  3. Toggle the option to show in Feed

  4. If your video says “Processing,” re-upload the media file
